Super scraper complete set

Scrapers are wonderful tools to remove material in a controlled manner and create smooth surfaces. They come in handy on your guitar body, contours, binding channels necks and many more.

This robust version in 3mm thick hardened steel allow an ever tighter and smoother result as it does not bend and has straight and a concave side and can be sharpened on both sides.

The Super scraper is used in an almost vertical position on your surface to shave off material. Thanks to the sturdy steel you can even use it with one hand and it does not create so much heat as with regular scrapers.

This complete set offers you the following Super scrapers:

1. straight-rounded 95x43x3mm
2. Vlak-rond 62,6x38,2x3mm
3. Rectangular-concave 87x46x3mm

NOTE: This scraper is not sharpened. Escpecially with a thick scraper it is personal in which angle the cutting edge has.

Details

Thanks to the thick steel that is used for these scrapers, the cutting edges are very durable. If it does become time to resharpen them, then you can do this as follows:

First ensure that the flat sides are flat again by moving it in circular motions over a flat wet stone or flat piece of fine grit sanding paper. Put only light pressure and do both sides.
Set your fine grit grinding wheel to touch the exact centre of the 3mm thick sides of the scraper. You can check it by lightly touching the turning wheel, optionally mark the sides with a felt-tip marker.
Lightly move the sides of the scraper in a fluid motion against the wheel, while following the contours of the scraper.
