Double sides radius block 15"/20"and a sanding area of 65x150mm to keep better control.
Start with 80 grit sanding paper and fix it on the radius block with spray adhesive or double-sided sticky tape.
Make sure your neck is in a straight position by adjusting your truss rod in such way.
Place your fretboard, or your neck with fretboard on a working bench so that it is horizontal and that you can easily move and see your progress.
Sand in one direction and keep the radius block centered. Take your time and take a moments rest in between to check your progress and clean your sanding paper.
When you feel you've almost completed, chalk your fretboard with diagonal lines all over, clean your sanding paper and sand again.
When the radius is complete, sanding will remove the chalk in a few strokes. Otherwise repeat and keep going.
After that, switch to 120 grit and 240 grit. Polishing comes at a later stage.
It doesn't really matter when you get working on the radius, but it should be after your fret slots and inly holes are made and before your frets are in place, to state the obvious.
