Routing template PRS style birds inlay
Routing templates make life so much easier and help to get beautifully clean and sharp inlay cavities with a perfect fit. These come with a center line to assist with correct positioning. The template is made of durable plexiglass of 5mm thickness and take little storage space. Collect 'm all!

Use a shallow router bit with a ball bearing guide on the upper part.
Measure your inlay position by using the center line, or angle line and set it securely in place with good quality double sided sticky tape. Don't overdo the tape as you still need to be able to get it loose.
Start with your router in the center of inlay position and move steadily to the edges of the template. It is better to remove material in steps and not too much in one time to avoid material chipping and your router getting too excited.
Use a small en shallow Dremel type router bit for the small parts
