When you want to deviate from standard fret scales, we can make a custom fret template. The template is laser cut from 5mm arylic and can be used on our but also in other parties fret saw boxes. Input your 2 desired fret scales below.
Note: the notches in the template are for use with a 2mm pin. We deliver the template with a 2mm pin which when necessary can be installed in your current fret saw box. Due to the narrow notches, it could be that the notches are a little slant. This however will have no effect on the workings of the template.
This template can be used with your current fret saw box with a 2mm pin. (included).
The template is made from 5mm acrylic. It’s important to change the saw depth of your fret saw box to this thickness. This template is thicker than our standard templates.
Acrylic is more vulnerable than our standard aluminum fret saw templates, please keep note of this fact that the template can break if you put too much pressure on it.
We advise you to use our Pro double sided tape to fixate the fretboard to the template. Do not use too much tape as it will be difficult to remove the fretboard from the template. Our Pro double sided tape has excellent adhesion, but is also easy to remove this in contrast to, for example carpet tape.
