Mother of Pearl is a natural product made from the inside of shells. These are limited to the size of the shell, which usually isn't that large. As we sometimes need bigger pieces for our decoration, and a more economical option than solid shells, we have these solid veneer sheets produced to a thickness of 1.5mm. Making it suitable for a wide variety of inlay options. Ready to cut into the shape you desire.

Details

Shell is best sawn with a fine jeweler's saw, or a thin jigsaw
As the dust from sawing through shell is very fine, always wear a mask to protect against this fine dust.

After cutting the desired shape, shell is best glued on wood with medium thick instant glue like ZAP

Shell is a beautiful natural material. Like everything in nature, each piece is unique. The pictures show blanks from our own stock and are for reference purposes only.
