Bar magnet Alnico 5 - 63,5 x 12,7 x 3,2mm

Build your own pickups with these magnets. These are already magnetized and ready to use. Normally the pole magnets are used for single coils and the bar magnets for humbuckers, but you could also tap into your creativity.

Difference between magnet types:

Alnico II: Has a lower output and characteristic warmer sound. Alnico II is often used for vintage pickups.

Alnico III: Is the weakest magnet but provides a sparkling high and sweet, yet tight low.

Alnico V: Has more mids and tighter low characteristics. Offers more attack and has a sparkle bright sound.

Alnico VIII: This is the middle of the road between Ceramic and Alnico V magnets. Provides high output with attack. Lots of mids but a bit warmer than Ceramic magnets.

Ceramic: These magnets are strong and provide a clear bright tone. You will keep articulation and clarity even with the use of a lot of distortion.
