This primers gives an excellent base for a colored nitrocellulose finish on your guitar.
For an average guitar body, one can will be sufficient, for a larger guitar or a bass, you will probably need two.
Use:
Shake well before use.
Sand the object until grain 400, use a grain filler for open pore woods.
The last sanding should be in the direction of the grain until all scratches have been removed.
Remove dust and greasy residue and apply 2-3 layers of primer. For solid light colors a white primer and for solid dark colors a grey primer is preferred. For translucent colors, a clear primer is used, but a clear coat will also do. The purpose of the primer layers is to create an even sold base for the color.
After that, spray the color layers. An experienced hand can create an even and full coat in one layer, most need two layers.
Finally apply the transparent top coats in gloss or matt if preferred.
Apply in total between 9-12 full layers to account for sanding and polishing. Spray maximum 3 layers per day with 60 minutes in between and allow 24 hours to dry before applying the next 3 layers. Sand lightly between coats for the best bond.
After the last 3 layers, let cure for 2 weeks minimum.
Clean the nozzle after use by inverting the can and spray for 3-5 seconds.
Make sure to use a fine dust mask and spray in a well-ventilated area. Recommended temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
