When you want to have blind fret ends on the fretboard of your guitar, like for example with a binding, you will need to remove a bit of the tang from the fret wire without damaging the fret crown. This professional nipper from Sintoms makes that job easy and quick!
This fret tang nipper cuts the tang of your fret wire effortlessly and is easy to use thanks to the slot for positioning multiple sizes of fret wire. Cuts effortlessly through nickel-silver, elite and brass tangs, but is also suitable for Tintanium, Bell Bronze and Stainless Steel fret tangs. Please keep in mind that your nipper will wear sooner with these harder materials.
1 - Place the end of your fret wire with the side of the crown and the tang pointed to the cutting blade in the slot of the nipper
2 - Hold your fret wire in place, but make sure your fingers are clear from the cutting blade
3 - Squeeze the nipper and done!
