This diamond fret crown file is ideal for crowning the frets on your guitar and especially suited for hard materials such as stainless steel and bell bronze. The file is double sided with 2mm and 3mm and suited for crowning smell-medium frets with one side and medium-jumbo fretwire on the other.
The fine diamond particles remove material quickly - yes, even stainless steel - and leaves a clean finish. The file can be used with up and down strokes, so watch out you don't go too fast!
Thanks to its long length, the ergonomical shape and the high quality, this file is not only convenient to use, but also extremely durable.
After leveling your frets with either your fret leveling file or your radius block, you need to crown your frets.
Mark each fret with a marker on top so you can follow how much material you remove. Tip: use a fretboard protector while marking your frets.
Move the fret file up and down over the top of your fret in the length till only a small strip of marker is visible at the center line of your fret.
This diamond file gives a smooth result.
