FAMAG HSS-G wood spiral drill bit 10x130mm

Helpful tips when it comes to drilling:
Make sure that the drill is properly seated in the (column) drill and firmly tightened.
If you drill wood that can cause irritation, wear a fine dust mask.
Keep your hands away from the drill when it is on.
Wood is drilled preferably at a high speed.
When drilling a deep hole, pull the drill back regularly to remove grit and prevent the wood from burning and damage your drill.
Tips & Tricks
Measuring = Knowing:
Always, really ALWAYS measure the diameter of your screw, bushing, ferrules or whatever, before you start drilling!
Use a good square ruler, geo-triangle or ruler to determine where your holes should be. Mark and measure again.
Prick your drilling holes with an eyeleteer so that your centering point stays in the right place.
If you need to drill completely through something, like the holes for your headstock, than clamp a wooden block at the back to prevent breakouts!
Countersink your jack input:
First drill the largest diameter to the right depth to countersink the outer ring of your cylinder jack. Then drill the thinner diameter of the bushing. This way your centerpoint remains intact.
