This ready to use lacquer is water-based and therefor friendly for the environment and your health. The application and finishing are comparable to nitro lacquers and gives a very nice overall finish with excellent tonal qualities for your guitar and other wooden instruments.
Aqua Pro can be used as a base for an additive like Sustain concentrate colors (candy result), Sustain Mica or flakes. Spray with a spray gun or with a Preval system. Be sure to use the correct nozzle opening.
Directions for use:
This water-based lacquer is ready for use.
Sand the object until grit 400, use a grain filler with open pore woods. The last sanding run should be in the direction of the grain until all scratches have been removed. Remove dust and greasy. Apply 2-3 thin layers of Aqua Pro Primer by spraying crosswise as a base layer. It is also possible to mix the Aqua Pro Lacquer 1:1 with distilled water to create a primer. After that, spray the regular layers with 4 to 5 hours drying time in between. Sand lightly between coats for the best bond. Maximal 3 layers per day and allow to dry 24 hours before applying the next 3 layers. We recommend 9 to 12 layers in total. After the last layer, let cure for 4 to 5 weeks minimum. Clean tools with water.
Although Aqua Pro guitar lacquer is solvent free, we still recommend to ventilate well and wear a high quality fine-dust mask and protective clothing! Clean tools with water.

Note: Aqua Pro is not transparent during application and can appear more satin, however when layers are dry, built up and after polishing, it will turn into a glossy, transparent finish.
